Alexis Harrington is an associate and trial attorney with Martin, Magnuson, McCarthy & Kenney, who focuses her civil litigation defense practice on complex medical malpractice matters, as well as, premises liability, hospitality liability, and professional licensing and regulation. Her practice includes work on claims and actions, as well as catastrophic injury or death. Alexis is tenacious in her dedication to defense work, and has a passionate and creative approach towards favorable outcomes for physician clients and business organizations.

While earning her J.D., Alexis defended clients in civil matters for the Boston Volunteer Lawyers Project (SJC rule 3:03 Certified Student Attorney), where she litigated multiple civil cases and effectively supported her client’s position towards favorable outcomes. She advised clients on compliance and regulatory and excelled at legal interpretation and case resolution strategies. In addition, Alexis worked for a leading global biotechnology company in Boston where she focused on business law, employment law, intellectual property, and extensive legal research. She drafted a corporate white paper on ESG considerations presented to the Board of Directors and co-advised on a multi-million-dollar exclusive licensing agreement with a renowned research institution. During law school, Alexis clerked for the Division of Administrative Law Appeals, where she focused on assisting magistrates in the preparation of decisions, research, and interpreting complex legal documents.

Alexis served as executive editor for New England Law Review and graduated Cum Laude in 2023. She also holds a Master of Public Health with Honors from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science from Central Washington University.
