Paul is an experienced trial lawyer and his practice is primarily focused on the representation of physicians, nurses and other health care providers, health care institutions and group practices. Mr. McTague has significant experience in successfully representing practitioners of numerous specialties in medical malpractice trials and arbitrations, as well as before Boards of Registration, which govern licensed health care providers. He has assisted hospitals, and their staff, in responding to and participating in investigations by the Department of Public Health. Mr. McTague also has significant experience, including at trial to verdict, in representation of product manufacturers.

He is also asked to lecture on legal and risk management issues by clients and their insurers.

In 2012, Paul was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation, and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Fellowship in the College cannot exceed one percent of the lawyers of any State. In addition, Paul has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and as a Massachusetts and New England “Super Lawyer.”

Outside of the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Patti, a successful real estate agent, and his two daughters, Kara, a Licensed Social Worker involved with the mental health care of adolescents, and Allison, an attorney working with a nationally recognized law firm in Boston.
