Lauren Mankowski is a trial attorney who focuses her practice on toxic tort, products liability, regulatory compliance, and general liability matters. Since joining MMM&K as a law clerk in the summer of 2019, Lauren has developed and advanced client-specific defenses in matters involving premises liability, toxic tort, design defect, and product labeling cases.

Lauren has served as local and national counsel for industrial and commercial companies in toxic tort products liability and premise liability actions. She has defended these companies in every aspect of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations. Lauren has handled asbestos claims involving shipyards, power and chemical plants, construction products, boilers, valves, ovens, automotive friction products, and commercial suppliers.

Lauren has also defended construction professionals and businesses in all phases of construction defect litigation, including multi-party and complex litigation. She has represented contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and owners against product liability, strict liability, and premises liability claims.

Lauren has advised manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors on the complex and technical aspects of regulatory compliance to protect clients against claims of unlawful, false, and misleading product labeling as well as product component toxicity. In addition, she has provided counsel to domestic and international companies on minimizing risks associated with the use and sale of products in the United States, including ensuring compliance with the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, Consumer Product Safety Act, Proposition 65, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Lauren is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Connecticut and received her law degree from Boston College Law School. While in law school, Lauren completed a 40-hour mediation skills training program under a certified mediator and served as a teaching assistant in first-year students’ legal research and writing course.
